Analytical Paleobiology School
General Information
Application timeline

Our 3-week school aims to introduce graduate students (preferably PhD candidates, masters with exception) to a range of analytical methods that are foundational to or at the cutting edge of paleobiological research.
There is no registration fee. Financial support available but limited – we strongly recommend to seek for own funding.
Topics, taught by rotating expert instructors, will include e.g., probability theory, maximum likelihood and Bayesian methods, resampling techniques, correlation and regression, multivariate statistics, methods of measuring biodiversity, morphometrics, phylogenetic methods, spatial and time-series analyses and other related topics.
The school will also provide practical hands-on training in statistical programming and data analysis and visualization in R.
With our course we want to educate students and increase their international connection.
